Hot Descaling System
A hot descaling system crafted out of Goma’s innovative technology is a powerful machine system for removing thick layers of oxides formed on metals at elevated temperatures.
GOMA offers hot descaling systems for the descaling of billets, plates, and bars in the steel, copper, and aluminum industries.
Descaling is carried out before hot rolling to effectively remove oxide scales and avoid cracks in the final product.
Our scope includes the design, manufacture, installation, and testing of the plant at the customer's site.
The descaling system comprises high-pressure horizontal, triplex/quintuplex, single acting reciprocating plunger pumps driven by an electric motor, suction & discharge piping as per specific requirements, a suction tank, flexible hoses, a descaling valve, a descaling nozzle header, and other accessories that are required for automation as per our standard design.
Standard High flow pump series T-12000, T-20000, T-40000, and T-60000 are specially designed for these applications.
In a descaling operation, the pressure requirements may be from 100 to 400 kg/cm2, and the flow required may be from 200 to 500 LPM.
For higher flow requirements (i.e., above 500 LPM), a series of multiple pumps can be engaged.
We also supply PLC based program to operate the system without manual intervention.
