During the drilling operation, heavy hydraulically driven rams stand ready to slam against the drill pipe and seal the well if excessive pressure threatens to blow the well out.
The rams are driven by hydraulic oil at pressures of 1000 to 3000 psi, which comes from charged accumulators.
At the heart of the hydraulic system is either a motor-driven power pump or a gas-driven direct-acting pump, which fills the accumulators and maintains the required operating pressure.
Goma offers BOP charging pumps that are compact in design, energy efficient, and suitable for continuous duty operations.
