In every industrial space, safety should be the top most priority. Especially if the industry deals with liquids or gas chemicals, the need for the fool proof safety measure doubles. This increases the need to safest machine units and technology. This is what GOMA believes when it comes to developing new machinery, in this case – the reciprocating pumps.
Positive Displacement pumps have various types in its class and one of those is reciprocating pump. It comprises of a piston pump, plunger pump, and a diaphragm pump. A stationary cylinder contains the piston / charger; in this chamber, the liquid is trapped.
High-pressure reciprocating pumps are used where a small quantity of liquid is to be handled with a rather large delivery pressure. E.g. – High pressure cleaning, cutting, removal of scales, or descaling of iron & steel, hydro testing, spraying of water jets, Process applications in Hydrocarbon sector complying to API-674 standard requirement for transfer of crude oil, chemicals, water injection, glycol injection, TEG/MEG transfer browser loading for production areas slop transfer, restart rocking pumps for crude pipelines, wash water injection pumps for refineries.
High Pressure Reciprocating (Simplex / Triplex / Quintuplex) Plunger pump.
Prime Mover: Electric motor / Diesel Engine / Gas Engine
Base Plate / Trolley / Trailer for mounting.
Pulley set with belts or gear box. (Or a combination of both)
Other standard accessories such as Pressure Gauge, Pressure Regulating Valve, Safety Valve and Strainer.
Other basic accessories as per applications
We are constantly upgrading and innovating and thus, we have developed pumps with pot seal design to pump for handling toxic fluids. This is a unique design that ensures zero gas leakage from the packing. The gas is trapped in the pot itself and then discharged in the closed loop.
In this design, the pot is attached with an additional seal to the fluid chamber. The pot contains a low vapour pressure liquid which has the capacity to dissolve the gases which are discharged through plunger packing of the pump. This pot also has provisions to exhaust the gases in the safe route.
There is increasing demand from hydrocarbon industry for lowering down the emission level from pumps & valve in refineries and oil & gas fields, our newly developed pot seal design type reciprocating pumps will have an edge to come over this problem of high emission levels. The pot seal design pump qualifies this type of pumping application to work in hazardous areas where leakage of gases like H2s would be a big concern.
With this update in design, we aim to offer Indian refineries and hydrocarbon sector an indigenous product that meets their requirements. And not just that, with this development in the processing unit, GOMA has become a first Indian company to develop this product with indigenous technology.
